The Women’s Board of Wolfson Children’s Hospital raised $927,922 from its signature fundraising events, the 2023 First Coast Design Show and the 2023-24 Florida Forum, to benefit Wolfson Children’s Hospital.

“I am grateful for the leadership of the 2023 Design Show co-chairs, Emily Magevney and Gracie Register, and 2023-24 Florida Forum co-chairs, Meg Folds, Drew Haramis, Robin Love and the contributions from all of the members, volunteers and donors who made this past year a tremendous success,” Kendra McCrary, president of The Women’s Board, said in a June 4 news release.

McCrary said proceeds from the events support the board’s mission to raise awareness and funding for Wolfson Children’s Hospital and ensure the advancement of lifesaving medical care for all children.

The Women’s Board is committed to raising $1.5 million for two new Kids Kare Mobile Intensive Care Units and other Wolfson Children’s Hospital programs this year.

The Kids Kare Mobile ICUs are part of the hospital’s Neonatal and Pediatric Critical Care Transport fleet outfitted with life-support equipment for the transportation of critically ill and injured infants and children.

Kids Kare vehicles and helicopters transport nearly 3,000 infants and children a year to Wolfson Children’s Hospital for emergency critical care, trauma and specialty care.

Established in 1973 by Ellen Cavert, the mission of the all-volunteer Women’s Board is to raise community awareness and fund infrastructure, programming and services for Wolfson Children’s Hospital, the only dedicated children’s inpatient health care facility in the region.

Since its inception, The Women’s Board has raised more than $36 million in support of the hospital to ensure the advancement of medical care for all children.

Two annual signature events, the First Coast Design Show (formerly the Art & Antiques Show) and the Florida Forum speaker series, enable the board to donate almost $1 million a year to Wolfson Children’s Hospital.
