Community First Credit Union has opened in Murabella, its second location in St. Johns County and 23rd in Northeast Florida.

The Murabella branch is at 5360 Florida 16, just west of Nine Mile Road.

It has a branch at 3581 N. Ponce de Leon Blvd. in St. Augustine.

The Jacksonville-based financial institution has a third St. Johns County location under construction in the master-planned Beachwalk community.

The 3,000-square-foot location, which opened June 3, features a full-service drive-thru and two ATMs. It includes an open floor plan and a historical mural of the Murabella/World Golf Village area. The credit union said approximately 2,000 Community First members live within 5 miles of the branch.

Community First Credit Union of Florida paid $2.3 million on April 24, 2023, for the 1.23-acre site.

On May 31, Community First announced the purchase of land in Callahan that is set to become its 24th location and second branch in Nassau County. The property is on U.S. Route 301 between Old Dixie Highway and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue.

Community First opened a branch in Yulee in 2018 and has nearly 10,000 members in the county, including nearly 1,800 in Callahan, according to a news release.
