Aniya Martinez, a student at Paxon School of Advanced Studies, received an Empowering Greatness Scholarship from the Farah & Farah law firm in partnership with the Florida Prepaid College Foundation.
The firm selects recipients of the scholarship based on student applicants’ financial considerations, academic performance, community engagement and a written essay.
Each winner receives a $6,000 scholarship that can be used for tuition, registration and local fees for 60 lower-division credit hours at any public college or university in Florida.
