Self-storage, restaurant coming to Buck Business Park along Merrill Road in Arlington

Pepe’s Hacienda will have a grocery store and dining, while Merrill Road Storage is building a four-story building.

Buck Business Park in Arlington is gaining two developments – a self-storage center and a combined Mexican restaurant and grocery store.

The park is at southwest Merrill and Fort Caroline roads, east of Interstate 295.

The city issued permits June 24 for Pepe’s Hacienda and Restaurant and for the Merrill Road Storage center.

Pepe’s Hacienda and Restaurant is planned at 9239 Merrill Road, Unit 1.

For Pepe’s, AEC Integrated of Jacksonville is the contractor for the 7,500-square-foot build-out for a restaurant and grocery store at 9239 Merrill Road, Unit 1, at a project cost of $950,000.

Plans show seating for 183 for fixed, booth and bar seating.

The other part of the 10,500-square-foot strip center will be a separately operated liquor store.

Pepe’s Hacienda operates its first location at 3615 Dupont Ave. in the San Jose-Lakewood area.

For Merrill Road Storage Inc., PAR Builders II of Largo is the contractor for the four-story, 109,844-square-foot self-storage building on 3.18 acres at 9383 Merrill Road at project cost of $6.1 million.

The city issued a permit May 16 to clear the 3.18-acre site at a project cost of $100,000.

Buck Business Park has been developed with the Deer Run town homes, Tire Outlet and Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen as well as the Buck & Buck Inc. Realtors office.
