Glen Kernan Park, where active adult apartments and commercial development are under construction, is adding a Dunkin’ doughnut and coffee shop at a project cost of $400,000.

The city approved a permit May 22 for Fleming Island-based Premier American Construction Inc. to build the 1,836-square-foot, 18-seat shop with a drive-thru on 0.73 acre at 4975 Sweetgrass Place. Its initial address on plans was 5101 Hodges Blvd.

Metro Franchising Commissary LLC is the franchise owner.

Glen Kernan Park is at northwest Butler and Hodges boulevards. The almost 50-acre mixed-use development is across from the Publix-anchored Windsor Commons Shopping Center.

Dunkin’ is joining several developments at Glen Kernan Park, including a Gate Petroleum Co. gas station, convenience store and car wash; Culver’s; Slim Chickens; a seven-story, 186-unit Embassy Suites by Hilton hotel; and a housing development for 55+ residents, by Rise: A Real Estate Company.

RadiFi said in a news release it is the first branch built as RadiFi Credit Union, which previously was Jax Federal Credit Union.
