Plans for the Jacksonville Surf Park announced Oct. 1 show more than just the lagoons. 

They show the project will create a wave of other development.

The civil engineering site plan for global surf-park developer Aventuur’s proposed Jacksonville Surf Park shows the surf lagoons as well as 63,970 square feet of “surf park ecosystem” uses; 45,500 square feet of retail and restaurant space; a 120-room hotel; and 300 apartments.

There is total parking of 1,822 spaces.

The site is 55.27 acres at 11374 E Town Parkway. Prosser Prime AE submitted civil engineering plans to the city Sept. 30.

Civil engineer Prosser Prime AE filed civil engineering plans with the city for Aventuur's proposed Jax Surf Park at eTown, along Etown Parkway off of Florida 9B.

The eTown developer, The PARC Group, announced Oct. 1 on etownjax.com/news that global developer Aventuur and “an experienced group of local partners” announced that a world-class destination is coming soon to eTown.”

“The park will provide waves, surf instruction, fitness training and physical recovery tailored to suit all levels, from first-timers and junior surfers through to elite athletes. Mental wellness, water safety, resilience and surf therapy programs will further encourage guests to develop healthy minds alongside healthy bodies,” it says.

Plans submitted to the city Sept. 30 show Jax Surf Park with surrounding restaurants and retail space, condos, apartments and “ecosystems” comprising supporting structures of a surf academy, wellness studio, conference rooms and more uses.

North ecosystem, 24,460 square feet, comprising:

One-story: Restroom, surf academy and outdoor gym

Two-story: Ticketing and lobby; restrooms; hire store; wellness studio; change rooms; offices; fitness; building mechanical and electrical

Aventuur is proposing Jacksonville Surf Park at eTown, along Etown Parkway off Florida 9B.
South ecosystem, 39,510 square feet:

Two-story: Retail; first aid, lifeguard hub; cape; restrooms, mechanical and electrical; lobby space; conference rooms; co-working

Three-story: Food and beverage 

Two story: Members club including an upper deck

Retail and restaurant space are in the plans for Jacksonville Surf Park.
North restaurant-retail:

Restaurant/bar: 11,500 square feet

Retail: 3,000 square feet


Hotel:

102-room, five-story hotel

18 bungalows
