The Northeast Florida Builders Association recognized the 18 graduates of its 2024 Emerging Leaders Program in a ceremony Oct. 8 at Epping Forest Yacht Club.

This is the fifth year for the program, which is designed to provide professional growth opportunities to rising leaders in the builder and land development industries.

The participants were selected from 30 applicants, NEFBA Executive Officer Jessie Spradley said.

The program has two goals: to build better industry leaders in the community and in the association’s leadership ranks, he said.

“We’ve borrowed heavily from what we liked from other leadership programs for what we want for ours.”

According to nefba.com, “Participants will gain knowledge in various skills, including time management, communication, marketing, personal branding, financing, and budgeting. Participants will also learn about the building and development industry from leaders in the field and will have opportunities to network with those leaders.”

Chet Skinner, chair of NEFBA’s Emerging Leaders Program, speaks at the program’s graduation ceremony at Epping Forest Yacht Club.

The program is geared towards industry professionals with less than 10 years of experience in their current field. To complete the program, candidates must have attended at least 6 of the 7 sessions, which took place from February to October.
