The eight fueling stations with 16 pumps would be built in the retailer’s parking lot.

Walmart Supercenter in St. Augustine is planning to add a gas station and convenience store in its parking lot, along with utilities, drainage and parking. 

St. Johns County is reviewing project plans submitted Oct. 14.

Walmart Supercenter in St. Augustine is planning a gas station with a convenience store.

Walmart Inc., through Wal-Mart Stores East LP, is the landowner. Bowen Consulting of Melbourne is the engineer for the project at 2355 U.S. 1 across from Hanania Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.

Site plans show a 1,618-square-foot convenience store and eight fueling stations with 16 pumps. There will be 33 parking spaces.

Walmart.com says it operates more than 10,500 stores, including wholesaler Sam’s Club, in 19 countries. As of the end of fiscal year 2024, it employed about 2.1 million people worldwide, with about 1.6 million in the U.S.
