Judicial appointment CLE scheduled Oct. 24

The 4th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission is presenting a CLE that will detail the state court judicial appointment process.

The 4th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission is presenting a CLE that will detail the state court judicial appointment process Oct. 24 at the Duval County Courthouse.

The program is noon to 1 p.m. in Chief Judge Lance Day’s chambers.

Professional qualifications, application instructions, financial disclosure and public records considerations and the Jacksonville and Tallahassee interview processes will be discussed during the presentation with opportunity for Q&A.

Patrick Kilbane, chair of the 4th Circuit JNC, will be joined by his fellow commissioners and by Meredith Pardo, director of judicial appointments for Gov. Ron DeSantis.

The Jacksonville Bar Association is applying to The Florida Bar for 1.0 CLE credit for attendees.
