Marathon gets beverage sponsor

TalkingRain is the official water sports beverage of next month’s 26.2 with Donna: The National Marathon to Fight Breast Cancer — the only U.S. marathon dedicated solely to raising funds to end breast cancer. The race is Feb. 15 and and starts at 7:30 a.m. Race founder, three-time breast cancer survivor and Ch. 12/25 news anchor Donna Deegan founded The Donna Foundation, which funds the critical needs of underserved women with breast cancer, and the “26.2 with Donna” program. TalkingRain bottles mountain spring water and flavored beverages. Seventy percent of proceeds from the marathon go to breast cancer research while 30 percent goes to breast cancer patients in North Florida who can’t afford to pay their bills.
