How did you get involved?

I joined the ACLU during the semester I took Constitutional Law in 2005. I got involved with JALA after attending foreclosure defense training put on by the Queen - April Charney. I was intrigued by the JALA Credit Abuse Resistance Education program, as it is something that I feel very strongly about, so when they reached out, I obliged. Absolutely loved it, and can’t wait for fall semester.

How can someone else get involved?

Join your bar associations. Contact JALA.

What have you learned/achieved through the experience?

I’ve learned that attorneys really do need to step up and fulfill their civic role in society, because there is an awful lot of bad that goes undetected or undefended by those unsuspecting or indigent.

What was the last book you read or are reading?

“The Fabric of the Cosmos” by Brian Greene.  You could just watch “What the ‘bleep’ do we know? aka Down the Rabbit Hole” and get the same basic idea.  I recommend that movie to the entire world.

U.S. Senate:
Charlie Crist
