Chester Bedell American Inn of Court visits Angelwood
An Angelwood group home received a Feb. 16 visit from members of the Chester Bedell American Inn of Court.
About 25 people, including members of the Inn and their family members, met at a group home for developmentally disadvantaged adult women in Mandarin.
The group raked, pruned bushes and painted several rooms inside.
Angelwood is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families.
American Inns of Court are designed to improve the skills, the professionalism and the legal ethics with which the bench and the Bar perform their functions.
They help lawyers become more effective advocates with a keener ethical awareness by providing them with an opportunity to learn side-by-side with the most experienced judges and lawyers in their communities.
The Chester Bedell American Inn of Court, Florida's first Inn and the 14th in the nation, was founded in 1985 in Jacksonville.
