How did you become involved?

Being a Jacksonville native, I am committed to Jacksonville and have a personal interest in its future. There is a new optimism in Jacksonville that includes revitalizing our urban core with a vibrant arts community. This is the next step in becoming the next great southern city. I believe that a vibrant arts community is a bellwether for development of the urban core and serves as a source of provide for me and other Jacksonvillians.  Because of this, I decided to apply to be appointed by Mayor Alvin Brown to the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville.

How can someone else become involved?

Find something that you are passionate about that can make our great city even better and focus your efforts on it.

What have you learned/achieved through the experience?

I have learned that our city has great leaders in City Hall and in the art community who are committed to supporting and growing our vibrant arts community.

What was the last book you read or are reading?
