The city issued a conditional capacity availability statement Monday for the car wash to open along Gate Parkway, across from St. Johns Town Center.
The 4,510-square-foot operation will be developed on 1.64 acres, the CCAS application shows. It will be just north of Black Creek Outfitters.
Columbus, Ga.-based Goo-Goo has one location in Florida in Lake City, according to Chief Operating Officer Phil Wise, who referred other questions about the Jacksonville site to the franchisee.
The company’s website shows about 40 locations in six states, but doesn’t include the Florida operation. The six states are Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee and Texas.
Googooexpresswash.com says the car wash tunnel uses the latest equipment available. Drivers remain in their vehicles during the wash and also can use the free vacuum area and mat cleaning machines.
