The Dostie name is well-known in the Northeast Florida building market. Dostie Homes has built quality homes and a solid reputation in and around Jacksonville for three generations, beginning in 1958 when J. Rene Dostie moved his family from Canada to Jacksonville. Dostie’s three sons, Richard, Rene J. and David, followed him into the industry. Richard Dostie served as NEFBA president in 1988. Thirty years later, Richard’s son, Chris, is the 2018 NEFBA president.

Dostie Homes is the oldest, continuously active local builder in Northeast Florida. Chris and his brother, Richard, co-own the company today.

Building homes and communities is important to the Dostie family, as is building a legacy. Ardent supporters of NEFBA through the years, the Dosties were among the early contributors to the ALL IN! campaign to fund construction of the new NEFBA headquarters.

“NEFBA, like Dostie Homes, has a rich legacy built on strong leadership, talented staff and an interactive relationship with the community,” says Rick Dostie. “We were eager to be involved with bringing this dream to life. The new facility will put NEFBA in an excellent position for growth. To be able to complete the new building without incurring a heavy financial burden is going to free us to maintain and implement other forward-moving programs.”

Dostie Homes builds in some of the most prestigious communities in Northeast Florida. While established in developments such as Palencia and Glen Kernan, the company also identifies new locations that reflect the quality homebuyers expect. Neighborhood amenities, affluent leisure and pristine landscapes drive the company’s community and homesite selections.
