Allegiant Air to begin nonstop service from Jacksonville to Grand Rapids, Michigan

Fares start at $49 each way.

 Allegiant Air will begin twice-weekly service between Jacksonville International Airport and Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids, Michigan, beginning Oct. 4, the Jacksonville Aviation Authority announced Wednesday.

Flights will depart Jacksonville at 11:14 a.m. on Mondays and Fridays and arrive in Grand Rapids at 1:31 p.m.  Return flights will depart Grand Rapids at 8:15 a.m. on Mondays and Fridays, and arrive in Jacksonville at 10:29 a.m.  

Fares start at $49 each way, according to allegiantair.com. 

“Nonstop service to Grand Rapids will make it easy for Midwest travelers to see all that Northeast Florida has to offer," JAA CEO Mark VanLoh said. “It also means that our community will have direct access to one of Michigan's most beautiful cities."

It's the eighth nonstop destination for Allegiant in Jacksonville. The airline also offers nonstop service from Jacksonville to Norfolk, Virginia; Pittsburgh; Cleveland; Columbus, Ohio; Cincinnati; Indianapolis; Louisville and Belleville, Illinois near St. Louis.
