Amazon boosting minimum wage to $15 per hour

The increase is for all U.S. workers, including temporary and seasonal employees.

Amazon announced Tuesday it is increasing its minimum wage to $15 per hour starting Nov. 1.

The increase is for all U.S. workers, including temporary and seasonal employees. Amazon said the increase will benefit more than 250,000 employees, as well as more than 100,000 seasonal employees who will be hired for the holidays.

Amazon has two fulfillment centers, a delivery station and a sortation center in Jacksonville employing more than 3,000 workers.
