Amazon.com said it resumed operations Thursday at its Jacksonville fulfillment center, which was closed to determine the effects of Hurricane Irma.

The company said it found no damage from the storm.

Employees will be compensated fully for time lost because of the hurricane, said spokeswoman Shevaun Brown.

Brown said Tuesday the Amazon Jacksonville facilities temporarily closed operations and customers in the area should expect delays in receiving their Amazon orders.

Amazon began shipping about two weeks ago from the 1,500-job fulfillment center in North Jacksonville at 12900 Pecan Park Road.
