AMC Theatres plans to reopen its Regency 24 and Orange Park 24 cinemas Aug. 20.

It’s part of plans announced Aug. 13 to open more than 100 theaters.

On Aug. 20, all tickets will be 15 cents as part of its “Movies in 2020 at 1920 Prices” promotion.

Films include “Beauty and the Beast,” “Black Panther,” “Bloodshot,” The Goonies” and more.

Starting Aug. 21, the classic films including “Inception: 10th Anniversary Event” will be $5.

Other films opening Aug. 21 include “Unhinged,” “Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula,” “Cut Throat City” and “Words on Bathroom Walls.” Tickets to the new releases will be at regular admission prices.

Guests and workers are required to wear protective masks.

AMC is limiting and blocking seating for social distancing. It also is enhancing cleaning procedures including nightly disinfecting using electrostatic sprayers.

There are three AMC Theatres locations in the area. AMC Regency 24 is at 9451 Regency Square Blvd.; AMC Orange Park 24 is at 1910 Wells Road; and AMC Classic Yulee 10 is at 96012 Lofton Square Court.

The Yulee AMC is scheduled to reopen Sept. 3.

This is the third attempt at a reopening for AMC. It initially planned to reopen July 15 and then July 30.

“We are thrilled to once again open our doors to American moviegoers who are looking for an opportunity to get out of their houses and apartments and escape into the magic of the movies,” Adam Aron, CEO and president of AMC Theatres, said in a news release.

AMC says it has more 1,000 theaters and 11,000 screens worldwide.
