The thousands of people who sweated out Wednesday’s Art Walk saw a scene slightly different from previous Art Walks, as much of October’s monthly event celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month.

Hemming Plaza was the scene for much of the cultural flair, as music, dancing and food brought a different — and festive — feel to the event, said numerous curious attendees who stopped by the event.

In addition, the Next Gallery on Laura Street celebrated its opening with a packed house for much of the night, said owner Sharla Valeski.
