Circuit Court Judge Thomas “Tom” Beverly was sworn in by his mother, retired Circuit Judge Virginia Beverly, Wednesday at the Duval County Courthouse. Tom Beverly was appointed by Gov. Charlie Crist to serve on the bench of the Fourth Judicial Circuit after Judge Peter Fryefield passed away last year. Beverly, who has been on the bench since February, participated in the traditional investiture ceremony on Wednesday.
