Chester Bedell American Inn of Court marks 30 years

The Chester Bedell American Inn of Court celebrated its 30th anniversary Thursday night at The River Club.

The group received its charter in 1985, as the 13th Inn of Court in the United States.

The organizers of the Bedell chapter were Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Susan Harrell Black and Frank Read, dean of the University of Florida College of Law from 1981-88.

The Bedell Inn of Court has affiliations with UF and Florida State University law schools, as well as Florida Coastal School of Law.
