The city approved an almost $3.27 million build-out Monday for Winsupply Inc.’s regional distribution center at 6282 Imeson Road in Westside Industrial Park.

Arco Design/Build is the contractor for the 272,480-square-foot project in West Jacksonville.

The city also is reviewing a permit for Hy-Tek Material Handling Inc. to install a storage system for Winsupply at a construction cost of $950,000.

In January, Winsupply Support Services Group President John McKenzie said the plan is to hire 35 to 50 people.

The Dayton, Ohio-based company distributes construction and industrial supplies and equipment and plans to open the facility in the second half of this year.

It will be the company’s fifth regional distribution center.
