Jacksonville Bar Association members got a head start on Thanksgiving on Tuesday when they gathered for the association’s annual Giving Thanks Member Luncheon.

“There are a lot of things to give thanks for,” said Troy Smith, president of the JBA. “Most of all, for another successful year of serving our members.”

Gregory Coleman, president of The Florida Bar, was a guest, as was Duval County Public Schools Superintendent Nikolai Vitti.

The members learned the Hispanic Bar Association has a new moniker: The JBA Latino/Hispanic Interest Committee.

Next on the association’s calendar is the annual Bench & Bar Party at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 10 at the Wells Fargo Building.”
