Jay Southerland and Mike Balanky welcomed guests last week at the groundbreaking of the San Marco Place condos on Riverplace Blvd between the Hilton and the Radisson.
Mayor John Peyton and officials from The Haskell Company also participated in the opening ceremonies.
The $50 million project will include 141 condos ranging in price from $189,000 to $1 million. Construction will start Feb. 7.
