Here is the Daily Record’s guide to downtown parking. Although parking meters have been omitted, every available publicly accessible garage and surface lot has been included as well as the lot’s location, how many spaces are available, rates and security measures. A few of the lots and garages included are on the map, but they are either private or leased to private companies. Often, they can be used by the public for special events such as games or concerts.

1-4: Four lots located at the Skyway terminal west of the Osborn Center. The small lot closest to the terminal entrance is $33.33/month, with a year and a half waiting list. There’s a back lot with 40 spaces and a few are available for $27.98/month and $33.33/month. The two other lots have space available and they go for $27.98/month. All are paved, lit, secured and they come with a swipe card that provides access to the Skyway.

5. Four Skyway lots closest to the Osborn Center. There are approximately 500 dirt/grass spaces that go for $20/month and $5 for special events; no daily rate.

6: The Skyway Jefferson Street Station. There are 120 spots that go for $27.98/month, but the lot is totally booked. It’s lit, paved and secured.

7. This 62-space lot is used by a private company.

8: Corner of Jefferson and Adams. There are 34 spots and a long waiting list. It’s $26.50/month, paved and has an electronic security gate.

9. Five separate lots with approximately 250 spaces that go for $20/month and $5 for special events. One of the five lots is occupied entirely by tractor trailers.

12: This 51-space paved surface lot is at the corner of Bay and Broad. It’s $3/day and $30/month.

14: JTA lot under the Acosta Bride (downtown side); 100 spots with a few going for $27.98/month. It’s secured, paved and lit.

15: An 800-space garage on West Forsyth between Clay and Broad. The daily rate is $6/day and the monthly rate varies from company to company; space is available and it’s secured, paved and lit.

16: Surface lot at the corner of Church and Broad. Rates unavailable.

17: On Broad between Duval and Monroe with 169 spaces that go for $4/day and $45/month. It’s paved but not secured.

18: Daily only dirt/grass lot on West Monroe near the First Union drive-through; 23 spots that go for $2.50/day.

19: A 97-space surface lot at the corner of Clay and West Duval is paved, but not lit. It’s $25/month for First Union employees and $40/month for others.

22: At the corner of Clay and West Forsyth with 60 paved spots; $45/month.

23: The Water Street garage has 1,500 spaces and both daily and monthly rates are available. The secured garage is 80 cents/hour with a maximum of $5.60/day or $53.50/month.

24: Monthly-only lot on Pearl between Ashley and Beaver; 88 paved spots that go for $27.50/month.

25: See No. 24.

26: A 97-space, paved surface lot at the corner of Clay and Duval; $40/month for non-First Union employees and $25/month for First Union employees. No daily rate.

28: At the corner of Clay and Monroe; three spots that go for $65/month.

29: 201 Pearl St.; 250 spaces, but most days it’s full. When available, you can park for $3.25/day or $60/month. It’s paved and lit by streetlights, but it’s not secured.

30: The lot directly across the street from the Greyhound Bus Terminal; 326 mixed-use spaces; $5/day and $63/month. It’s paved and pay via cash drop box.

31: Daily-only paved lot near the Federal Courthouse; 96 spaces; $5/day with several reserved spots at $101/month. A cashier is on duty.

33: At Julia and Forsyth near the BellSouth tower; 53 paved spaces; $5/day; cashier on duty.

34: Omni Hotel garage; limited number of daily spaces for the public; availability based on the hotel’s occupancy rate; $1/half hour with a maximum of $8/day; monthly rate is $80 plus tax for tenants.

35: Paved surface across from the Performing Arts Center; daily and monthly rate.

36: At the corner of Julia and Ashley; 46-space dirt lot; $2.80/day and $30/month; pay via cash drop box.

37: Parking garage attached to the Ed Ball building on Julia Street. Daily and monthly rates available.

38: Parking garage located across from the Sun Trust building; used predominantly by Sun Trust employees and tenants of the building.

39: Surface lot at the Sun Trust building; 38 spaces; $6/day. It’s paved and there is a cashier on duty.

40: The Omni ’s surface lot is open to the public but on a limited basis. It’s $1/half hour with no maximum; monthly rate is $80 plus tax, but they are sold out.

41: The Bank of America garage is available only to tenants of the building.

42: Surface lot at the corner of Bay and Hogan, across from the Bank of America tower; daily and monthly parking.

43: First Baptist garage No. 2, located at Beaver and Laura; 827 secured spaces; $2/day or $32.10/month.

44: This property has been purchased by First Baptist Church and is no longer a parking lot.

45: See No. 44.

46: First Baptist garage No. 4 (the one with the lighthouse); over 800 spaces; $32.10/month. There is no daily rate.

47: The JEA Adair garage. Most of the garage is filled by JEA employees; the City leases 77 spaces available to the public for those with business at City Hall; first half-hour is free and it’s 40 cents/half hour after that.

48: Lot used by JEA employees and those needing access to City Hall.

49: Dirt lot at the corner of Church and Newnan; 57 spaces; $2/day or $20/month; cash drop box.

50: A 51-space lot near City Hall; paved; $5/day or $50/month; pay via cash drop box.

51: Surface lot near City Hall; daily and monthly parking available.

53: Private garage that is being used by tenants of the Police and Fire Pension building.

54: See No. 53.

55: A 615-space secured garage on Forsyth between Julia and Hogan; daily rate is $1/half hour with a $6/day maximum; monthly rate is $80.25 for a regular space and $120 for a reserved space.

56: Surface lot currently being used by AmSouth Bank employees and customers.

57: A 1,037-space garage on Bay between Main and Laura; $7/day or $90.53/month; security.

58: A monthly-only, 561-space garage on Bay between Main and Ocean; secured; $87.87/month with roof top spaces going for $61.24/month.

59: A daily-only dirt lot near Educational Community Credit Union; 48 spaces; $2.80/day and you pay via cash drop box.

60: Paved surface lot near Church and Ocean; 46 spots; $40/month.

61: Paved lot; 211 spots; $4.25/day or $40/month; pay via cash drop box.

63: Near the corner of Main and Monroe; 150-spaces; $5/day or $65/month; paved and lit by streetlight; not secured; spaces available most of the time.

64: Near the library; paved; 111 spaces; $60/month.

66: Monthly-only lot near the Florida Theatre; 64 paved spaces; $60/month. After 5 p.m. daily and on weekends, it’s $2 to park. Cash drop box on the lot.

67: Just behind the Chamber; 98 paved spaces; $6/day or $74/month; cash drop box.

68: Public parking for patrons of the Landing; about 300 spaces available for $.80/hour with a maximum of $5.62/day.

69: An 89-space paved lot near the Cathedral Towers Senior Residences; $2/day or $20/month; cash drop box.

70: This lot is now privately owned.

71: Monthly-only, 75-space lot near the Florida Theatre; paved; $60/month.

72: Yates building garage; 600 spots leased only on a monthly basis; long list to get in. However, during special events at the Florida Theater at night, parking is available in the garage.

73: A 36-space lot owned and operated by Crew’s Bonding Agency. Although it is full now, when available spaces are available on a monthly basis for $53.50/month. They also rent spaces for $5 for all major Alltel Stadium events.

74: A 400-space lot located on the river side of the County Courthouse; $.80/hour with a maximum of $5.62/day; no security, but there is an electronic arm that lets you in and out of the lot; almost always full, especially during working hours.

75: Surface lot located near the Police Memorial Building; has both daily and monthly rates.

76: Trolley lot near Alltel Stadium is the home to hundreds of spaces. However, because that lot is being moved to make way for the new arena, many of the spots will be relocated a couple blocks north.

77: The JTA’s Southbank lot under the Acosta Bridge; 35 spots; $27.98/month.

78: This lot is currently under lease to a private company.

79: Parking garage near the Hilton Hotel on the Southbank; 780 secured spaces. The roof is designated for daily parking, with the first hour free and $6/day maximum. The rest of the garage is for monthly parking; $75 for reserved spots and $55 for unreserved.

80: Surface lot next to the Hilton; 220 spaces; daily rate is $1 for the first hour with a maximum of $5/day; monthly rate is $50.

81: Surface lot across from the Hilton; 210 spaces; $40/month; almost always completely leased out.

82: Huge dirt lot on the Southbank between the Radisson and the SouthTrust Building; about 300 spaces; $2/day or $20/month; cash drop box.

83: Kings Avenue parking garage; 1,500 spaces; $38.33 for the first month and $33.33 after that. The space also comes with a swipe card for the Skyway.
