DVI names new board members

Downtown Vision, Inc. held its first annual meeting Wednesday night at the Riverplace Tower. City Council president Matt Carlucci spoke at the meeting, discussing historic downtown revitalization and preservation. Two new initiatives, the Guide to Downtown Jacksonville and the launch of its website, www.downtownjacksonville.org, were unveiled at the meeting. DVI also announced its 2001-02 board of directors: Michael Stewart, BellSouth, chair; Michael Harrell, CB Richard Ellis, vice chair; John Welch, Foley & Lardner, secretary; Jeremy Smith, Gate Petroleum, treasurer. Board members are Jim Bailey, Bailey Publishing & Communications, Inc.; Stephen A. Crosby, CSX; Bill Evans, Capital Partners; Stephen M. Goldman, Bank of America; Joe Hockenbury, Radisson; Suzanne Jenkins, City Council vice president; Mike Jennings, Prudential; John Kiddy, general manager of the Landing; Neil King, First Union; Paul Krutko, Downtown Development Authority; Linda Lanier, Sulzbacher Center for the Homeless; Michael Lissner, Young Men’s Shop; Bobi McGinnis, River City Band; Johnnie Smith, Berisford Photography & Art Gallery; Barry Vaughn, Suddath Van Lines and Terry Lorince, DVI executive director.
