Ellianos Coffee, which offers its beverages and food items at drive-thru kiosks, announced June 28 it plans to open in Jacksonville Heights in West Jacksonville.

The site is 8310 103rd St., about 1½ miles west of Interstate 295.

The store is part of a two-unit franchise agreement with Jacksonville residents Jason Blandford and Leebeth Ortiz.

“We believe there is tons of growth in this area, especially with the addition to the first coast highway,” Blandford said in the news release, referring to the First Coast Expressway.

The release said Blandford is the owner of Steel Mill CrossFit.

Ellianos, based in Lake City, has two stores operating in Northeast Florida at 125 Lane Ave. in West Jacksonville and at 301 Blanding Blvd in Orange Park.

On May 31, the chain said it is building a drive-thru in the Brierwood area at 8781 Old Kings Road S., near Baymeadows Road.

More than a dozen sites have been identified for Ellianos franchisees in Clay, Duval, Nassau and St. Johns counties.

Ellianos offers specialty espresso drinks, smoothies, latte freezers and more, as well as food items such as breakfast grit bowls, breakfast sandwiches, bagels, cookies, brownies and chicken salad croissants.

Scott and Pam Stewart founded Ellianos in 2002.

There are 23 operating store locations, with more than 60 locations in development, according to the release.
