Encompass Health opens 50-bed, $38.5 million hospital

The 52,100-square-foot project sits 8 acres.

Encompass Health has opened a free-standing rehabilitation hospital at 11595 Burnt Mill Road, off Gate Parkway near Interstate 295.

Brasfield & Gorrie built the 52,100-square-foot project on 8 acres at a cost of $38.5 million. 

The hospital was built as a single-story, free-standing hospital for ease of patient movement, according to a news release.

The facility has a therapy gym, in-house pharmacy and dialysis suite, as well as a dining room, courtyard and day room areas.

Patients will be treated for neurological disorders, hip fractures, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations and orthopedic conditions. 

Patients will receive at least three hours of therapy five days a week, the release said.
