Former mayor Jake Godbold hosted one his famous fish fries for mayoral candidate John Peyton Thursday night at Jackie’s Seafood on the Trout River. Peyton officials said they sent out 500 invitations for the gathering which was also put on to formally announce Godbold’s endorsement of Peyton.
