A Flying Biscuit Café franchisee seeks second-generation restaurant sites of about 3,000 square feet in Duval, Clay and St. Johns counties. A drive-thru is a plus.

Prime Realty in Jacksonville is handling the search.

The Atlanta-based chain operates or will soon open 19 locations in Georgia, where it has 12, three each in Texas and North Carolina and one in Florida, in Gainesville.

Gainesville hours are 7 a.m. daily to 3 p.m. Monday-Friday and 4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. Closing hours vary among the restaurants, from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Menu items include biscuits and all-day breakfast along with lunch and dinner choices.

The menu includes starters, salads, sandwiches, sides, desserts and featured favorites, such as shrimp and grits, biscuit chicken pot pie, oven fried chicken, flat iron steak and “love cakes” made from black beans and corn meal.

It also offers vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.

According to flyingbiscuit.com, the company estimates the initial investment at $442,500 to $737,000.

Customer demographics are those age 18-54 and the average drive time to the restaurant is 7.1 minutes.
