Former Stein Mart executive forms accounting service

Former Stein Mart Inc. executive Linda Tasseff created Tasseff Accounting Services to focus on small businesses.

Stein Mart, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Aug. 12, laid off Tasseff Sept. 15.

“After a short break, (I) started laying the groundwork for an accounting practice. I am specializing in Accounting and QuickBooks services to small businesses,” she said.

Tasseff joined Jacksonville-based Stein Mart in 1996. She was most recently director of accounting, financial reporting and investor relations.
