One Spark Inc. announced Tuesday that GuideWell Innovation will sponsor the HealthSpark Zone at the October One Spark 2017 event.
One Spark said the HealthSpark Zone, which will be dedicated to health and wellness, will be one of up to five zones for creators to showcase their innovations, receive real market validation, promote individual crowdfunding platforms and compete for cash prizes.
Other Spark Zones include EdSpark, TechSpark, SocialSpark and possibly a section for ideas that fall outside of the targeted areas.
GuideWell Innovation will play a role in the HealthSpark activities, including HealthSpark Zone Creator selection and judging for the HealthSpark Zone Spark Tank competition.
A qualified winner of the HealthSpark Zone will receive a spot in the weeklong Health+Accel program at the GuideWell Innovation CoRE in Lake Nona Medical City in Orlando.
The four-day workshop is for entrepreneurs with solutions for aging well. It concludes with a pitch competition with a $20,000 cash prize.
