Hillwood sold the JinkoSolar/Industry West building in AllianceFlorida at Cecil Commerce Center on Dec. 19 for $30.7 million to Richardson Logistics Assets LLC, whose directors are based in Singapore.
Richardson Logistics Assets has a U.S. address in New York City.
Dallas-based Hillwood developed the 407,435-square-foot building on 35.5 acres at 4660 POW-MIA Memorial Parkway in the Westside business park.
"Selling an asset (when we determine that the timing is right to do so) is a long-standing component of our operational/financial strategy," said Hillwood Senior Vice President Dan Tatsch by email.
He said it was consistent with previous AllianceFlorida developments, such as the Amazon.com and GE Oil & Gas buildings.
JinkoSolar (U.S.) Industries Inc., part of China-based JinkoSolar Holding Co. Ltd., and Jacksonville-based Industry West lease the building.
Hillwood bought the land from the city for $322,600 in December 2016. The building was completed recently.
JinkoSolar will hire 200 people at the solar panel plant. Industry West operates a distribution center.
