The new Intuition Ale Works development at 929 E. Bay St., adjacent to the Sports Complex, was granted final approval Thursday by the Downtown Development Review Board of the Office of Economic Development.

The project will convert the former Noland Building into a brewery with a pedestrian-friendly gathering space and a covered roof-top tap room.

The only significant change to the site plan concept approved by the board in September is the addition of racks to accommodate about 60 bicycles.

After the project was approved, Intuition owner Ben Davis said he expects to be serving his products brewed on-site before the 2015 NFL season begins.
