Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute opens new rehab center

Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute (JOI) will open its ninth rehabilitation center in order to meet the needs of the growing Clay County regional area. Effective Jan. 12, Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute Rehabilitation-Orange Park/Clay County will open at 1845 Town Center Blvd., Suite 410, at Fleming Island.

The 3,500 square-foot facility will offer general physical therapy rehabilitation services, including occupational therapy and hand therapy, the latter being highly specialized. Hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m.-6:30 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 a.m.-1 p.m.; and Saturday from 8 a.m.-11 p.m. The Center manager will be Israel Sullivan, who will be joined by physical therapist Donna Ziegler and occupational therapist Pam Wilson.

Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute offers 32 physicians who serve eight regional offices (Baptist South; Beaches; Orange Park – note, this office will soon be relocating from its present site on Blanding Boulevard to Fleming Island, and will be renamed: Orange Park/Clay County; Point Meadows; Riverside; San Marco; and University. The nine JOI Rehabilitation Centers are located at the Beaches; Mandarin; North (N. Main St.); Orange Park/Clay County (new); Point Meadows; Riverside/Westside; San Marco; South; and University.

JOI has been serving the families in the Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia region since 1994 with experience, expertise and excellence in orthopaedic surgery and related services.
