Charles “Charlie” Towers Jr. left an impression on the community, one that City Council wants to officially recognize.

Council filed a resolution last week commemorating the life of the 91-year-old managing partner at Rogers Towers, who died April 30.

The two-page document will be introduced to council Tuesday and highlights Towers’ time in the Navy, his start in the legal world and the community-related efforts he undertook.

Eight council members have signed on as introducers.
