Landowner Jack Allen sold 41.3 acres in West Jacksonville to Lincoln Property Co. on June 1 for $5.5 million.

Colliers Director Joseph Turri represented Allen in the sale of property at 2992 Pickettville Road. He said 27.6 acres is usable.

Turri said Chicago-based Lincoln Property intends to build a 300,000-square-foot distribution center on about 12 acres and use the remainder for parking and truck parking.

Turri said Allen prepared the property for sale for two years. The sales brochure says the property has several plans and permits in place.

Colliers Senior Associate Michael Cassidy also represented the property.

Turri said Lincoln is investing aggressively in Jacksonville. It bought an eight-building industrial park in North Jacksonville on June 2.
