Magellan Academies & Child Development Centers, Inc. has reached an agreement to open a child development center and private elementary school in Deerwood Park. It will be Magellan’s second center in Jacksonville. The other one (above) is located on West Bay Street. “We are very excited about our opening in the Deerwood Park area,” said Thomas Blitch, founder and CEO of Magellan in a statement. “Our studies show that employers’ recruiting and retention efforts are greatly enhanced by child care services being offered either on-site or near-site.”
Magellan specializes in quality child development, private elementary schools for office parks and business districts and offsite convention and meeting child care services.
