The Meninak Club installed its new officers at the Radisson Monday with incoming president Marcelle Lovett outlining a plan for the group during her tenure. The primary objective will be to strengthen membership, especially in the under 40 executives category. Also, she would like to see a website established for the organization. Gavel in hand, Lovett took the opportunity to honor outgoing president Ted Pappas, while poking some fun at the rival Rotary Club. Lovett produced a hoax Time magazine, featuring Pappas on the cover. The headline read: “Meninak Club rated top civic club in the nation; Rotary Club distant third.”

The new officers are Lovett, president; John Godfrey, president-elect; Ted Pappas, immediate past president; Lee Fischer, treasurer, and John Ghegan, secretary.
