NAIOP honors Phillips, Olson, Barakat

The NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association Northeast Florida Chapter presented 2014 awards Thursday night.

Developer Philip B. Phillips Jr. was presented the Lifetime Achievement Award; former city economic development executive Robert Olson was given the Jesse B. Smith Community Service Award; and CBRE Inc. Senior Vice President Oliver Barakat, who chairs the Downtown Investment Authority, was recognized with the Klechak Award for leadership and advocacy to promote economic growth Downtown.

Annual association winners for 2014 achievements are:

Developing leader: Justin Markley, Valbridge Property Advisors

Construction project: EverBank Field, Elkins Constructors Inc.

Green project: JAX Chamber, Auld & White Constructors LLC

Design: Adecco executive offices, Workscapes

Developer/owner: Crocker Partners

Land sale: Bellinger Shipyards, Colliers International, Bob Selton and Hobart Joost

Chapter Merit Awards: Shari Chaney, CSX Real Property; Marjorie Davis, OE&S Matthew Creasman: Wiginton Fire Systems
