This is the third consecutive year the association has added more than 100 during its annual membership drive.
The competitive spirit between members and their passion for NEFBA was a great recipe for another successful drive. NEFBA members recruited twice as many new members as the next closest competing homebuilders association in the nation. NEFBA holds its rank as the fifth largest among the more than 700 associations under the National Association of Home Builders umbrella.
Todd Knowles (Quick-Tie Products) won first place in the competition for enrolling the most new members.
“Todd is always telling new and potential members the importance of making the time to be a part of a council and/or a committee,” Member Services Director Hans Krieg said. “NEFBA has had a positive impact on his life both personally and professionally these past two years of membership. The friendships and business connections he has made will be lifelong. More doors will be opened than you can ever imagine. He believes in what NEFBA does for its members and the community. I will say that Todd is constantly encouraging businesses to get involved year round.”
This year’s contest attracted a record-setting 31 sponsor companies and more than $2,300 in free member-to-member incentives.
Winners:
1st Place – Todd Knowles (Quick-Tie Products) won $800 for recruiting eight new members.
2nd Place – AJ Beson (Beson4 Media Group) claimed last year’s top spot, and this year, he won a $250 gift card to Ruth’s Chris.
3rd Place – Jerry Dean (Vintage Estate Home) won a $100 gift card to Ruth’s Chris.
“I am extremely pleased with the work that was done during this membership drive,” said Chris Dostie, chair of the Membership Committee and NEFBA first vice president. “I encourage new members to get involved and to find an area of NEFBA that you are passionate about. There is something for everyone here with the many different councils and committees. And, the benefits just get bigger and better the more active you are.”
