Executive Director
City Rescue Mission

Mission
To serve the homeless and needy by rebuilding their lives through the love and compassion of Jesus Christ.

Serving Jacksonville
City Rescue Mission is a Jacksonville-based organization established in 1946.

Those served
In 2010, City Rescue Mission provided more than 90,000 nights of safe shelter and served nearly 300,000 meals to the homeless and needy in Northeast Florida. In addition to food, clothing and shelter, City Rescue Mission also provides counseling, medical and dental services, work force development and drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Biggest challenge
Finding and allocating resources to meet the needs of a growing homeless population. City Rescue Mission does not receive any support from local, state or federal government organizations and relies solely on donations and fundraising events to provide its services to the homeless and needy in Jacksonville.

Biggest satisfaction
Watching God transform the lives of men, women and children who came with no hope of ever leaving the darkness and despair of the streets.

Hometown
Though I have lived all over the country, I was born in western Pennsylvania and consider Pittsburgh my hometown.

First experience with community service
Aside from activities as a teen, it would be through the Baltimore Jaycees in my 20s where I served as president.

Your job before the City Rescue Mission
I served as executive director of Light of Life Ministries in Pittsburgh since 2002.

Upcoming events
