Opening for bankruptcy judge in Jacksonville

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit seeks applications from qualified candidates for a 14-year appointment as U.S. bankruptcy judge for the Middle District of Florida.

The court has openings for two positions, one in Orlando and one in Jacksonville.

The basic jurisdiction of a bankruptcy Opening for bankruptcy judge in Jacksonville is specified in Title 28, United States Code and explained in Title 11, United States Code, as well as in 98 Stat. 344, Pub. L. 98 353, Title I, §120.

The selection process will be confidential and competitive. The annual salary is $199,088. Applicants will be considered without regard to race, color, sex, gender, gender identity, pregnancy, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, age or disability. The attorney selected must comply with the financial disclosure requirements pursuant to the Ethics in Government Act of 1978.
