• JCCI’s next Five O’Clock Forum is scheduled for May 16 from 5-6:30 p.m. at its office on Atlantic Boulevard. This month’s topic is “Rx: What is the Prescription for Shands’ Survival?” RSVP to 396-3052.

• CenterBank, the Small Business Center and WorkSource will host a series of workshops, a networking reception and a resource fair targeted to small and minority business owners May 16 from 4-7:30 p.m. The event is free. For information, call 620-2489.

• The City of Jacksonville Beach is hosting the Wave Master’s Surfing Contest Saturday and Sunday at the SeaWalk Pavilion.

• The National Conference for Community and Justice will host the Humanitarian Awards Dinner May 14 at the Osborn Center from 5:45-9 p.m.

• The Jacksonville Transportation Authority is hosting its Bus Roadeo Sunday from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. in the bus parking lot near the Mass Transit Building, 100 N. Myrtle Ave.

• Brooklyn Arts & Design Center is hosting an exhibition by local artist Quan Minh Duong Friday through June 1. There will be an opening reception Saturday at 7 p.m. For information, call 338-0660.
