• Linda Thomas has been named assistant vice president in charge of CenterCircle Relationships for CenterBank of Jacksonville.

• Angel Moreno has joined JSA as a senior project architect. Moreno moved to Jacksonville six years ago. His past project experience includes work on the University of North Florida Performing Arts Center, the First Baptist Church of Orange Park and a bulk mail center for the postal service.

• First Union/Wachovia has donated $200,000 to Deliver the Dream, which was founded by Pat Moran, chairman and CEO of JM Family Enterprises.

• Charles S. Schulz has been named senior vice president for Heritage Bank to oversee its new office in Ponte Vedra Beach. Schultz joined Heritage after spending three years as banking center manager for Bank of America’s Marsh Landing branch.

• Dr. Joan Carver is the speaker at the April 8 Meninak Club meeting.

• Cindy Lotane, a daniel staff member for 12 years, has been named Social Worker of the Year by the Northeast Florida Unit of the National Association of Social Workers.

• The Fashion Group International of North Florida, Inc., a global non-profit organization with more than 6,000 members in the fashion industry and related fields, has named its new officers for 2003-03. They are Melanie Kimmel and Doris Mellion, regional co-directors; Suzi Young, secretary; Barbara Woolfe, treasurer; Ward Lariscy, program chair; Jean Watson, program co-chair; Dixie Hardman, hospitality; Maroulla Carr, membership chair; Patti Hendrix Joyce, public relations; Sarah Hunt, fundraising and special events; Darleen Unger, fundraising co-chair; Sharon Cooper, scholarship chair; America Lehnartz and Diedra Gordon, outreach career day co-chairs and Rochelle Proctor, nominating chair.

• U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft will be in town today as part of an Anti-Terrorism Task Force meeting with state and local law officials.
