• Janet L. Arena and Jason Mudd have been awarded accreditation by the Universal Accreditation Board, administered by the Public Relations Society of America. Arena is the director of information technology communications for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida. Mudd is public relations director for the Florida Sports Awards. Candidates must have five years of professional practice before taking the accreditation examination.

• Sharon E. Greene has been named senior program officer for education at the Jessie Ball duPont Fund. Greene currently serves as director of information services at Ben Franklin Academy, a private high school in Atlanta.

• Clinical psychologist Joan Borysenko, author of “Minding the Body, Mending the Mind,” will present a luncheon address and two-hour workshop March 12 beginning at noon at the Radisson as part of the Florida Community College Roseanne R. Hartwell Women’s Center Distinguished Speaker Series. Cost for the luncheon is $30; for the luncheon and workshop, cost is $65. For information, call 633-8292, Ext. 1.

• FCCJ will host “Rekindling Our Spirit,” a remembrance of Sept. 11, March 11 at 6:15 p.m. at the Landing.

• Gaylynn Lankford has been named director of Human Resources for ICS Logistics, Inc. She has more than 17 years of human resources management and training experience and has earned lifetime certification as a senior professional in human resources.

• The next Pink Slip Party, sponsored by the Northeast Florida chapter of the Project Management Institute, is scheduled for March 11 at Seven Bridges Grill from 5:30 -7:30 p.m. The party is a chance for job seekers and recruiters to network.

• The Downtown Development Authority is scheduled to meet Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at City Council Committee Room B.
