• Operation New Hope will host a “New Year’s Tour — A Salute to Teachers” today from 2-6 p.m. to introduce school teachers to purchasing a home in Springfield. The tour begins at Bethel Baptist Institutional Church and will be led by City Council member Pat Lockett-Felder. Trolley transportation is provided. • Theatre Jacksonville is holding auditions for “You Can’t Take it With You” Jan. 21 at 7 p.m. at Theatre Jacksonville, 2032 San Marco Blvd. There are roles available for 12 men and seven women.
