Assistant State Attorneys Dan Skinner (left) and Rich Commando talk to representatives of Jacksonville nonprofits Thursday during the State Attorney’s Office “Nonprofit Loss Prevention Forum.” The forum was the first of its kind for the State Attorney’s Office. State Attorney Angela Corey offered the program to educate nonprofit leaders on how to avoid being a victim of crimes that drain the organizations of much-needed funding. About 150 members of the nonprofit community attended the event, which featured speakers from the Internal Revenue Service, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and the Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida.
