The city is reviewing a permit application for Starbucks Coffee Co. to build-out a 2,500-square-foot shell structure at 5640 San Jose Blvd. at a cost of $275,000.

The city also is reviewing applications for demolition of the former Shell station on the site at a cost of $20,000 and for Starbucks to build the new 2,533-square-foot shell structure at a cost of $500,000 on the site.

The new Starbucks will have a patio and drive-thru.

First Coast Energy L.L.P. sold the site to San Jose Blvd Realty in December.

Starbucks has been building stand-alone stores to replace the in-line locations within multitenant buildings. An in-line Starbucks operates across the street.

Culver’s Gate Parkway

A JEA service availability request shows that Culver’s franchisees Don, Lori and Sophie Lichte intend to develop their South Jacksonville restaurant on 1.5 acres of vacant land at Gate Parkway and Point Meadows Drive owned by First Coast Energy L.L.P.

Wingstop at Cobblestone

The city issued a permit Sept. 17 for the $250,000 tenant build-out for Wingstop at 2771 Monument Road in the Cobblestone Crossing shopping center.

It will replace Taco Del Mar in a 1,205-square-foot space.

McDonald’s at College Park

The city issued a permit for McDonald’s Corp. to renovate at 1001 University Blvd. N. at a cost of $675,000.

The 4,062-square-foot restaurant, built in 1984, is in College Park, formerly known as Town & Country Shopping Center.
